Meeting Description:

This meeting is being planning by the DEI working group of Western MA Funder’s Network.  The purpose is to share our collective experiences working towards an equity lens in our grantmaking; to learn what we are all doing to bring an equity lens to our work as funders; and to consider how this Network can learn together over time. This will be an internal conversation about where our foundations are along a spectrum of bringing an equity lens to grantmaking. 

The Network is committed to bringing an equity lens to the grantmaking we do as individual foundations. We see this as a learning journey, and want to build out learning moving forward.  We seek to maintain a focus on grantmaking with an equity lens.

The DEI working group of Western MA Funder’s Network is: Annamarie Golden of Baystate Health Foundation, Dena Hall of BankESB, Donna Haghighat of the Women's Fund of Western MA, John Bidwell of United Way of Hampshire County, Katie Allan Zobel of the Community Foundation of Western MA,  Lori Gazzillo Kiely of Berkshire Bank Foundation, and Paul Belsito of the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation.

About the Network:

The Western MA Funders' Network is an inclusive network for grantmakers funding in, or based in, the four counties of Western Massachusetts: Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin. The network exists as a peer community to support grantmakers in the region and ultimately, to create a positive impact throughout Western Massachusetts.

Refunds: When an event or program requires payment, payment is required in advance unless alternative arrangements have been made with an Philanthropy MA staff member. If payment has not been received and/or arrangements have not been made three or more business days before the event date, Philanthropy MA reserves the right to cancel your unpaid reservation. Philanthropy MA does not provide refunds, but a credit good for one year may be issued for future events if notice of nonattendance is received three or more business days prior to the event. If you need to cancel your event registration, please email Philanthropy MA staff at info@philanthropyma.org.

No Solicitations: Philanthropy MA values knowledge sharing – connecting people with each other and with information. We strive to create a welcoming, collegial atmosphere at all of our events. We kindly ask program participants to refrain from soliciting other participants for business or grants while at events hosted by us, regardless of venue.
