The Corporate and Foundation Grants Coordinator will be responsible for developing, writing and implementing a successful corporate and foundation grants management program with the primary role of retaining existing corporate and foundation partners, and identifying and pursuing new strategic funding opportunities. This position is part of the Development team and may include other development and fundraising related tasks. Responsibilities include:

Essential Functions:
I. Grants Management

  • Create annual grant management plan and calendar
  • Grant research through online resources, direct outreach, and networking
  • Proposal development and writing
  • Interim and final report writing
  • Grants calendar management
  • Foundation stewardship, incl. personal outreach: organize site visits, solicit feedback, etc.

II. Corporate Outreach

  • Research: foundations vs. marketing budgets, requirements, fit, etc.
  • Initiate contact
  • Organize site visits
  • Brainstorm partnership options
  • Collaborate with system and campus leaders to organize and manage volunteer activities involving corporate partner employees
  • Collaborate with Principals and Expanded Learning Coordinator to organize student engagement with corporate partners
  • Develop and manage all grants and funding requests
  • Co-manage sponsorship requests

III. Other Responsibilities

  • Support fundraising database maintenance
  • Assist with production of promotional materials and social media marketing
  • May include other development and fundraising related tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Advanced degree highly preferred, Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-4 years of effective grants management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven and innovative research skills
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
  • Proven, successful experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Commitment to working with students and families from diverse backgrounds with diverse profiles
  • Well-developed and demonstrated cultural proficiency
  • Strong personal organizational and time-management skills
  • High degree of flexibility and responsiveness in the face of challenge
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form with students, staff, and community members
  • Demonstrated success collaborating in a team to achieve individual, team, and organizational goals
