Since 2003, House of Possibilities (HOPe) has been enriching the lives of children, adults, and families living with developmental challenges by providing high quality programs and much needed relief and hope. HOPe operates out of a 11,000 sq. ft. home-like facility located on the campus of Stonehill College in Easton, MA, where we run a variety of programs,  including adult day programs, social experiences, job search and support, and overnight respite. Development Associate Position

We are seeking a full-time Development Associate to join a development team of three staff, working together to raise over $700,000 through a variety of fundraising avenues that include foundation and corporate grants, events and sponsorships, major donor outreach, and multi-year appeals. The Development Associate will be an integral member of the team and will be supervised by the Development Director. Responsibilities include:

  • Corporate and Foundation Funding - Assist team with prospect research, writing/editing, submission, tracking, and reporting of grant proposals.

  • Events - Support team efforts in planning and executing events, such as our annual Gala and Rodman Ride for Kids event, as well as multi-year friendrasiers. Activities include sponsorship outreach and communications, tracking and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements.

  • Annual Appeals - Assist with production and mailings of bi-annual appeals, as well as targeted appeals.  

  • Communications Outreach - Help with the production of newsletters, e-news via Mailchimp, social media and website updates.

  • Administrative Support - Process and  track all gift acknowledgements and ensure our Salesforce database is up to date with all fundraising activities.  



  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in human service-related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience working in the non-profit sector.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with CRM databases required; knowledge of Salesforce preferred.

  • Superior communicator, with strong written and oral skills.

  • Interest in learning and growing as a professional in the development and/or non-profit field.

  • Self-starter with strong organizational capabilities, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
