About this Organization:
The Museum was the creation of Isabella Stewart Gardner (1840-1924) 'for the education and enjoyment of the public forever.' Since opening to the public in 1903, the Gardner has served as a center for ideas and life-long learning in its community - a tradition that is kept alive today through an array of interpretive, creative, educational, horticultural, artistic and scholarly programs.
Scope of Internship:
The Development Intern will gain insight into the inner workings of a busy, successful museum development office. This internship is an ideal opportunity to learn Tessitura Network, the top development database used among non-profit organizations, as well as to gain familiarity with electronic record-keeping processes. The intern will receive database training and an entry-level understanding of prospect management and research. Additionally, s/he will provide assistance in all aspects of Institutional and Individual Giving.

Index and upload key development correspondenceEnhance donor records through proactive research and data entryAssist at museum special events, when neededAssist with special event invitations, solicitations, and fulfillment mailingsOther administrative duties as assigned
