Established in 1996, Essex Heritage is the regional non-profit whose mission is to preserve and enhance the historic, cultural and natural resources located in the Essex National Heritage Area (Essex County, MA). Essex Heritage accomplishes its mission work through public and private partnerships, implementing programs and projects that leverage the region’s nationally significant heritage resources for the benefit of all who live, work and visit. The Area encompasses 34 cities and towns on Massachusetts’ North Shore and Lower Merrimack Valley which together comprise Essex County.
