Campus Alcohol Abuse Prevention Initiatives Funded

The NCAA CHOICES Alcohol Education Grant Program provides funding for NCAA member institutions and conferences nationwide to integrate athletics into campus-wide efforts to reduce alcohol abuse. The purpose of the program is to help create an environment that supports and encourages personal choices that are legal, healthy, appropriate, and safe. Funded projects must partner athletics with other campus departments in the development and implementation of effective alcohol education projects. Grant funds to any one program will not exceed $15,000 for the first year, $10,000 for the second year, and $5,000 for the final year of the grant. The application deadline is February 13, 2019.
